Secrets is the adults-only anchor of Hyatt's Inclusive Collection (the former AMResorts/Apple Leisure portfolio), and its scale is the story: dozens of resorts across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and Spain, all running the Unlimited-Luxury playbook (no wristbands, no dinner reservations, 24-hour room service, and premium pours as the default).     Secrets Akumal is an adults-only resort of 434 suites on Akumal Beach, and the beach is why it scores 9.3 with us. The water is calm, the reef is close enough to snorkel from the sand, and this is turtle habitat, so the local rules about sunscreen and distance are worth reading before you swim. Sargassum still reaches this coast most springs and summers, which is the one thing the resort cannot manage for you. Inside, the model is Hyatt's Unlimited-Luxury and it needs no interpreting: nine restaurants covering French, Italian, Asian, seafood and Mexican, seven bars, and no reservations anywhere. Room service runs 24 hours, the minibar is refreshed daily, top-shelf spirits are poured, and taxes and gratuities are in the rate. Three pools are split by mood, an infinity pool, a social pool and a quiet one, with two hot tubs and a swim-up bar between them. Guests grumble mildly about waiting to be seated at dinner and about food that is very good without being extraordinary. The spa is charged, and so are the transfers. Our samples put a night between 467 and 507 dollars for two, which is a fair price for this stretch of coast and better value than the same money buys in the Cancun hotel zone. Cancun airport is about seventy-five minutes away, so build the transfer into the day rather than the afternoon. Preferred Club buys a better breakfast and a private area. Book this one for the reef and the calm, not for a late night.

    Secrets Baby Beach opened in 2025 on Aruba's quiet southeastern tip, an adults-only all-inclusive built beside Baby Beach Bay. The bay is one of the calmest swimming spots on the island and you can snorkel straight off the shore, but read the layout before you arrive: guests who expected every suite to open onto that sand have said so, and the resort sits above and beside the water rather than on it. San Nicolas is a long way from the Palm Beach bar strip, which is either the appeal or the problem. All 304 units are suites, and the Preferred Club tier does more work here than at some older Secrets properties, adding its own pool, its own bar and a lounge. There are three pools in total, counting the infinity pool and the social pool, plus two outdoor hot tubs and a swim-up bar. Seven restaurants cover Japanese teppanyaki, South American fusion, Italian, seafood, a grill and a buffet, with a cafe open around the clock, and none of them takes reservations. Room service runs 24 hours. Spa treatments and airport transfers are extra. We have no reliable rate sample for this resort yet, which fits a property whose review base is still young: the recurring complaint is opening-period service rather than anything structural. Treat the advertised resort coupons as promotional vouchers and not as cash off the price. The airport run is about thirty minutes, and a hire car earns its keep here in a way it would not at Eagle Beach, because there is little within walking distance once you are on the property.
