It is about 15 minutes from the airport at Christ Church, with twelve restaurants of its own and twenty across the pair once the Stay at One, Play at Two exchange with Sandals Royal Barbados next door is counted, plus seven bars, the Crystal Lagoon river pool and swim-up suites. It is busy by design. Guests praise the combined dining and bar access across the two resorts, the couples-only atmosphere and the depth of restaurant choice. The complaints are the premium price, service that thins at busy periods, and beach and pool areas that feel active rather than secluded. The thing people wish they had known is that the resort is couples-only rather than merely adults-only, and that the value case rests on using the shared footprint: the more you dine around, the better the plan pays. The plan covers every restaurant on both resorts, premium spirits and wines, the round-trip airport transfer, and the water sports including two scuba tanks a day for certified divers; the spa is extra, and room service and the stocked in-room bar come with Club Level and Butler categories only. The transfer is long and included; the beach at the end of it is the reason the resort exists. Guests praise the calm, scenic beach with Pigeon Island across the water, the romance of a couples-only resort, and the overwater bungalows and butler suites. The complaints are the price against room and service consistency, food that varies by restaurant, and competition for shaded chairs on busy days. The thing people wish they had known is that the overwater bungalows change the price of the week materially, and that the beach and setting are stronger than the value score. The plan is among the most complete on the island: every restaurant, premium spirits and wines, the round-trip transfer, waterskiing and wakeboarding, sailing, and two scuba tanks a day for certified divers; the spa is extra, and room service and the stocked in-room bar come with Club Level and Butler categories only. Gordon's on the Pier, the overwater grill, is the dinner to book first. Families are not admitted, and anyone who wants the Pitons from the pool should look south to Soufriere.

Sandals Regency La Toc is a couples-only resort on a hilly 220-acre estate near Castries, for couples who will trade flat ground for the view. It is about 75 minutes from Hewanorra, with ten restaurants, eight bars, three pools and a half-mile crescent beach below the hill. The hills are the appeal and the drawback at once: the views are why people book it, and the walking is real. Guests praise the views and the hillside setting, the romantic private-pool rooms, the food and the dine-around, and the range of included activities. The complaints are that layout, a beach whose surf and undertow vary, rooms that read as dated, and the long transfer up from the south. The thing people wish they had known is that this resort rewards travellers who like views and do not mind hills, and that it is not the easiest Sandals for anyone with limited mobility. The plan covers all ten restaurants and eight bars with premium pours, a stocked minibar, tips and taxes, the water sports including scuba and snorkelling trips, the golf green fees, the round-trip transfer from the airport, and dining exchange with the other Sandals resorts on the island; the Red Lane Spa and the Island Routes excursions are extra, and room service depends on the category. Ask for a room off the hill if stairs or shuttle waits would spoil the week, and book a Millionaire Butler Suite or a Sunset Bluff private-pool category if they would not. Families are not admitted.

It's adults-only and couples-focused, with a swim-up pool bar, fire-pit dining, and included scuba and water sports. The vibe is barefoot and easygoing rather than buttoned-up. Best November through April.
