SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort is a family all-inclusive in Sharm El Sheikh, for families who want a reef, eight restaurants and a nine-minute transfer. That drive from the airport is the shortest on this site. It is a five-star with a private beach, heated pools including an adults-only Relax Pool and a children's pool with a slide, and a dining list of one buffet and seven a la carte restaurants running from Indian to Greek. Sea entry is reef rather than sand, which is the fact to settle first. Guests praise the staff and the animation team, the reef and the snorkelling straight off it, the size of the dining list, the short transfer and the family facilities. The complaints are the rocky entry, which needs beach shoes, local rather than imported spirits, and booking friction at the restaurants in peak weeks. The thing people wish they had known is to pack water shoes, and not to assume premium imports are inside the plan. The plan covers the buffet and the seven a la carte restaurants, the bars on local brands, gratuities, Wi-Fi and Kids Planet for ages three to twelve; the spa, the motorised water sports, babysitting and the airport transfer are extra, and the minibar is bottled water daily with soft drinks weekly. The round-trip transfer is included only on the Posh Club suites, so a standard room means arranging that nine-minute ride yourself. The Deluxe Swim-Up Room is the couples' upgrade and the Family Suite sleeps five across two bedrooms. Anyone who wants to walk into soft sand will not find it on this stretch of the Red Sea.
