Ayodya Resort Bali is a large Balinese-style family resort on Nusa Dua's swimmable beach, for families who want a calm base. All-inclusive is an add-on rather than the rate. It is about 25 minutes from Bali's airport, with waterslides, a splash pad, a kids' club, an infinity pool and a beach that, unlike much of the island, is safe for swimming. The architecture and the grounds are the reason it is remembered; the plan is a convenience bought on top. Guests praise the swimmable Nusa Dua beach, the family facilities, the Balinese buildings and the size of the grounds, and the breadth of the optional dining package. The complaints are rooms and areas that feel older, a plan that carries exclusions and costs extra, and a resort large enough to feel busy. The thing people wish they had known is that all-inclusive is an optional add-on rather than the rate, that the teppanyaki counter sits outside it, and that Nusa Dua is polished and calm rather than local. The optional plan covers several lunch and dinner venues, free-flow house-pour drinks during bar hours, a minibar replenished daily and Wi-Fi; the spa and room service are discounted rather than included, the teppanyaki is excluded, and the airport transfer is free only on stays of seven nights or more.
