The 7 Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Cancún

Cancún is the easiest serious beach trip in North America: a major airport minutes from the hotel zone, a 14-mile sandbar of back-to-back beachfront resorts, and enough flight competition to keep fares reasonable year-round. The all-inclusives here lean polished and high-rise, with the lagoon on one side, the Caribbean on the other, and Isla Mujeres a ferry ride away.

The list below ranks Cancún's resorts by real guest ratings, our score breakdowns, and plan generosity. Tap any resort for photos and what the wristband actually covers, and see our Cancún guide — or the Cancún-versus-Riviera-Maya head-to-head — for how the hotel zone compares to the quieter coast south of it.

The hotel zone's northern arm (kilometers 1–9) has calmer, more swimmable water; the eastern arm (km 9–20) has the classic wide-open Caribbean beach but stronger surf. Resorts near km 9 — the elbow — split the difference and stay closest to the nightlife cluster.

The sweet spot is December–April. The rainy season runs June–October, heaviest September–October. In the hurricane belt, June–November, peaking September–October — the season's wettest stretch too.
