ATELIER Playa Mujeres is an adults-only suite resort north of Cancun, for couples who want thirteen restaurants and a Michelin-recognised dinner. It is about 40 minutes from the airport, with 593 suites, thirteen restaurants, thirteen bars, two coffee shops and five pools, on a beach partly sheltered by Isla Mujeres, which keeps the sargassum lighter than the Hotel Zone gets. It takes guests of sixteen and over.

Guests praise the service, the food and the range of restaurants, the modern spacious suites, the cleanliness, and the adults-only atmosphere. The complaints are noise in some room locations, charges for selected premium experiences, an INSPIRA upgrade whose value divides opinion, and almost nothing within walking distance. The thing people wish they had known is that a quiet-location request is worth making, and that INSPIRA pays off only if you will use the rooftop pool, the private beach section and the butler.
