It is small by Cancun standards, about 36 minutes from the airport, and it shares its grounds with two sister resorts, Garza Blanca Cancun and Villa del Palmar, which is how a small hotel comes to offer a long dining list. The cost of the address is that Cancun's nightlife is a taxi ride away rather than a walk, and that is the point: Costa Mujeres is the quiet end.
What guests keep praising is the service and the butlers, the food, the oceanfront suites and the rooftop pool. The complaint runs the other way from the praise: Mousai's own footprint is small, and the moment you walk to a sister property for dinner you have left the adults-only bubble, because those resorts take families. About your stay
The plan covers the restaurants at Mousai and its two sister resorts, premium spirits, a premium minibar restocked daily and 24-hour room service; the spa and the airport shuttle cost extra. Every suite faces the ocean with a terrace, and the entry Mousai Suite already carries a plunge pool on it, so the step up to the Corner Suite buys a wraparound terrace rather than a different kind of stay. NOI, the Italian restaurant on site, is the one we would book first. Look elsewhere if you want a dozen venues inside one adults-only fence.
