Four of the six open resorts are in the Maldives. Likuliku is in Fiji's Mamanuca Islands. Sandals Grande St. Lucian is the Caribbean name, in Gros Islet. Anantara Veli and Centara Ras Fushi sell the meal plan as an add-on. Hurawalhi, Likuliku, Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa, and Sandals Grande St. Lucian include it.     True all-inclusive

    Hurawalhi is an adults-only private island in Lhaviyani Atoll, for couples who want a house reef and a plan that genuinely covers the week. The seaplane from Male takes about 40 minutes and is the part of the trip to budget for separately. There are 90 villas, four restaurants, an infinity pool and the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, glazed and six metres down, which is the thing guests remember.

    Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa is a small adults-only island in Meemu Atoll, for couples who want a quiet lagoon, a water bungalow and a fair all-inclusive price. The Maldives rarely offers that combination. It is reached by domestic flight and boat rather than a speedboat from the airport, with 100 bungalows, three restaurants and two bars, and a lagoon so wide and shallow that the sandbank is part of the daily walk. It has changed from a family island to an adults-only one, so older reviews describe a different place.

    Excellent calm-beach setting

    Sandals Grande St. Lucian is a couples-only all-inclusive on the causeway to Pigeon Island, for couples who want St. Lucia's calmest beach. The included activities are the most on the island. It sits at Rodney Bay in the north, about 90 minutes from the international airport, with twelve restaurants, seven bars, five pools and overwater bungalows on the lagoon. The transfer is long and included; the beach at the end of it is the reason the resort exists.

The lagoon and the reef are the reason to come, and the meal plan comes in tiers, so the rate you book decides how much of the island is included.
