About Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is a couples-only all-inclusive on the causeway to Pigeon Island, for couples who want St. Lucia's calmest beach. The included activities are the most on the island. It sits at Rodney Bay in the north, about 90 minutes from the international airport, with twelve restaurants, seven bars, five pools and overwater bungalows on the lagoon. The transfer is long and included; the beach at the end of it is the reason the resort exists.
Guests praise the calm, scenic beach with Pigeon Island across the water, the romance of a couples-only resort, and the overwater bungalows and butler suites. The complaints are the price against room and service consistency, food that varies by restaurant, and competition for shaded chairs on busy days. The plan is among the most complete on the island: every restaurant, premium spirits and wines, the round-trip transfer, waterskiing and wakeboarding, sailing, and two scuba tanks a day for certified divers; the spa is extra, and room service and the stocked in-room bar come with Club Level and Butler categories only. Gordon's on the Pier, the overwater grill, is the dinner to book first. Families are not admitted, and anyone who wants the Pitons from the pool should look south to Soufriere.
