Montego Bay All-Inclusive Travel Guide

Montego Bay is Jamaica's front door and its most convenient all-inclusive base: the international airport sits practically beside the resort strips, so you can be poolside 30 minutes after customs. The Rose Hall corridor east of town carries the flagship resorts — golf, great houses, and calm reef-protected water — with Jamaica's culture close enough to taste and the shortest transfers on the island.

What Montego Bay does best

MoBay is the practical choice that doesn't feel like a compromise: reef-calmed swimming beaches, the island's golf capital (White Witch, Cinnamon Hill), and a genuine town — the Hip Strip, Doctor's Cave Beach, fish shacks — when you want an evening off property. The trade-off versus Negril is beach scale: these are pretty cove-and-strip beaches, not seven miles of it.

Because the airport is so close, MoBay also pairs well with a split stay — a few nights here, then Negril or Ocho Rios without burning a day in transfer each way.

When to go

December–April is peak dry season; May–June and November are the shoulder bargains. Hurricane season is June–November (watch August–October), and the north coast's rain arrives mostly as brief afternoon bursts even in the wetter months.

Beyond the resort

Raft the Martha Brae, tour the (haunted, allegedly) Rose Hall Great House, catch the Luminous Lagoon's glow at Falmouth, and eat scotch bonnet-laced seafood on the Hip Strip. Dunn's River Falls and Ocho Rios sights are a manageable day trip east.
