Top 10 All-Inclusive Resorts with Waterparks in Mexico

A waterpark here means the resort records one: slides, a lazy river, or a splash area on the property, not a swim-up bar and not a pool with a single slide guessed from a photo. Hyatt Ziva Cancún, Moon Palace The Grand Cancun, Finest Playa Mujeres, Barceló Maya Palace, Nickelodeon Riviera Maya, and Bahia Principe Explore Akumal lead the family scores on that rule.

Quintana Roo holds nearly all of them. The family score sets the order. A resort without a recorded waterpark is not on the list.

October 2026 review: 19 open resorts in Mexico recorded a waterpark. Sampled two-adult From rates ran from $141 to $1,274 a night, median $283. The table's From price is per person. Moon Palace The Grand Cancun and Nickelodeon Riviera Maya sat at the top of that two-adult band.

It is about 35 minutes from the airport, on the Playa Mujeres beach, with 450 rooms, twelve restaurants that take no reservations, sixteen bars, twelve pools and a water park. It is about 75 minutes from Cancun's airport, with three pools, a children's water park, six restaurants inside the plan and access to the facilities of several sister hotels along the same beach. It is about an hour from Cancun's airport, with six pools, a children's water park, two specialty restaurants, a buffet and a snack grill, and access to the pools, beaches and restaurants of the sister hotels along the same shore. The scale is the product and the walking is the price.

Plan the trip

Picking the resort is half the work; our Mexico travel guide covers the rest: when to go, weather month by month, safety and entry requirements, and how the areas differ.

How this ranking works

Every list on this site uses the same resorts, with the all-inclusive fine print read so you don't have to. The order weighs verified guest ratings, what's genuinely included at the base rate, and how each property performs on the thing this list is about: here, mexico waterparks.

The seal next to a resort is its Palmprint: a 0 to 10 grade for how well it delivers on this list's promise, the same mark you'll find on its full profile. The details of what we weigh, and what disqualifies a resort outright, live in how we score. Lists are re-reviewed as ratings and policies change; this one was last checked October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is the waterpark included with the stay?

On the resorts in this ranking, the waterpark is part of the property. A listed From price is a sampled room rate, not a promise that every slide or cabana is free. Check the resort page for what the plan covers.

Are these resorts only for families?

The ranking uses the family score because a waterpark is a family amenity. Hyatt Ziva Cancún and Nickelodeon Riviera Maya welcome children. Read the audience column before you book a quiet week.
