Excellent beachfront setting on Playa de Muro.

Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village sits directly on Playa de Muro, which is the shallowest and most forgiving family beach in northern Mallorca. That beach is usually the reason to pick this over its neighbours, and it is backed by a proper family setup: a waterpark with slides, three pools including one indoors, and Star Camp running age bands from four all the way to seventeen.

  3. Aerial view of Iberostar Waves Pinos Park with terracotta buildings, pool complex, and turquoise cove nestled between pine-forested cliffs.

    Kids facilities

Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife is a castle-themed family hotel in south Tenerife, for parents whose children will judge the week by the water park. It is about 15 minutes from the southern airport, which is among the shortest transfers on the island, and it is not on the sand: the pools, seven of them and heated, and the water park are the product, and the beach is a walk or a ride away. Book it knowing that, and the week works.

  7. Large resort complex with illuminated white buildings and palm trees overlooking a bright blue pool at dusk, desert hills in background.
No. 7. H10 Rubicón Horizons Collection
    Playa Blanca, Spain
    Five-star★ 4.7 (18,625)From $156/night ppFamily Palmprint 8.6/10

    Strong pool and children’s facilities

H10 Rubicon Horizons Collection is a large seafront family resort in the south of Lanzarote, for parents who want pools and water play. A beach under the feet is not on offer. It is about 35 minutes from the airport, with 584 rooms, six pools, seven restaurants and six bars, a dive centre and the Daisy Club for children. The sea is in front of it; the sand is not, and that is the fact to settle before booking.

  8. Hotel Riu Costa del Sol

Plan the trip

Picking the resort is half the work; our Spain travel guide covers the rest: when to go, weather month by month, safety and entry requirements, and how the areas differ.

How this ranking works

Every list on this site uses the same resorts, with the all-inclusive fine print read so you don't have to. The order weighs verified guest ratings, what's genuinely included at the base rate, and how each property performs on the thing this list is about: here, spain waterparks.

The seal next to a resort is its Palmprint: a 0 to 10 grade for how well it delivers on this list's promise, the same mark you'll find on its full profile. The details of what we weigh, and what disqualifies a resort outright, live in how we score. Lists are re-reviewed as ratings and policies change; this one was last checked October 2026.
