The barcelo was a wonderful experience for my family and I. All the staff were very personable and made us all feel welcome (even my 8 month old baby). As soon as we walked in and they saw our baby they asked if we needed a crib and had it set up for us. They were also very friendly with our 6 year ...

It is a wonderful place to visit. The food is very good. The servers take good care of you and are very kind. They know that you are here on vacation and are happy to treat you that way. The grounds are beautiful and a joy to relax and have fun on. Also shoutout to Aureliano at the Grill Palmera...

Favorite 5-star resort in Mexico! This is my 3rd time returning to this exact resort, which says everything. I’ve stayed at the Colonial, Tropical, and Palace, and every experience has been amazing. The Palace is definitely my favorite if you want to have access to every area, though it is a bit mor...

We enjoyed our stay at the Maya Coloniel. The hotel, seats, restaurants, and the rooms were clean and the distance to buffets, swimming pool, and entertainment from the rooms was nice and close for my toddler and I could walk to and from. Thanks to all the friendly staff and Sarahi Nahal at Tropica...

We have been coming to this resort for years. It has everything you want and need at an all inclusive. Tonight, we ate a wonderful à la carte dinner at Sante Fe. Our waiter’s name was Jorge Morales and he was very good and professional. Highly recommend!

Taking the kids to Barceló Maya Tropical?

Can a family of 5 stay in one room at Barceló Maya Tropical?

Yes. Barceló Maya Tropical has room categories that sleep 5 or more in one key: Family Room. The largest stated occupancy is 5. Occupancy rules count most children (and sometimes infants) toward the limit, so confirm your exact ages with the resort when you book.

Is the beach at Barceló Maya Tropical good for young children?

Swimmability varies by season, and the entry varies along the shore. Sargassum seaweed is seasonal (typically spring through summer on the Riviera Maya coast), so check recent reports for your travel month.

Do you need dinner reservations at Barceló Maya Tropical?

At some restaurants: book the à la carte venues early in your stay and keep the buffet as the no-plan fallback for meltdown nights.

Kids' club ages, hours, and babysitting availability change seasonally, so confirm with the resort before booking.
