Round by round
RIU, clearly. The 24-hour plan is unusually literal: food available around the clock, stocked minibars, and liquor dispensers in the room. Bahia Principe runs a conventional plan with normal restaurant hours, and its best inclusions sit behind the Luxury tier.
RIU, and it's the daily difference. A RIU is one building and one beach. A Bahia Principe complex is genuinely large, and the walks between room, buffet, and sand add up over a week, particularly with small children or limited mobility.
Bahia Principe, for flexibility. Luxury, Grand and Fantasia often sit inside the same complex, so a mixed group can book different tiers and still share the day. RIU's Classic to Palace ladder is a cleaner promise but splits across separate properties.
