Iberostar Waves Club Palmeraie is an inland all-inclusive in Marrakech's Palmeraie, for travellers who want a resort base and the medina on a shuttle. It is about 19 minutes from Marrakech-Menara, a four-star with 318 rooms on ten hectares of garden and a small lake, three pools including an adults-only Zen pool and a children's splash pool, three restaurants and the Atlas Mountains on the skyline. There is no beach and no walk into town, and neither is what the resort is selling.
Guests praise the staff, the cleanliness of the grounds and public areas, the pools for adults as well as families, the buffet and the free shuttle into the city. The complaints are Wi-Fi that goes weak during the day, pool crowding and lounger timing, rooms and areas that read as dated, noise from groups and entertainment, and a position outside the centre.
