Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is the adults-only half of a shared complex on Juanillo Beach, one of the strongest resort beaches in Punta Cana. The arrangement is the selling point: an adults-only base with its own pools, swim-up bar and lazy river, plus a dine-around into the family side next door when you want more choice than a boutique property could hold. Every room is a junior suite or larger, and the swim-up and oceanfront categories are what guests talk about afterwards.

The kitchen list runs wide, from Dominican and Caribbean through French, Indian, Italian and Asian to a steakhouse, and a coffee house and a poolside grill cover the hours between. One venue is the exception that shapes a stay: The Blind Butcher is repeatedly reported as a surcharge, so book it early or plan around it. Premium wines and some bottle selections are also charged. Drinks, minibar and room service otherwise come with the rate.
