Baron Palace sits on the Red Sea at Sahl Hasheesh, a purpose-built bay south of Hurghada that is quieter than the town's nightlife strips. Six pools, heated through the winter, a children's pool and a swim-up bar cover the part of the year when the Red Sea itself feels brisk, and the house reef is close enough to snorkel from the beach. The 9.0 we give it is one of the highest scores in our Egyptian catalog.
One thing needs saying before anything else: all-inclusive is not the only way to book here. The resort also sells bed and breakfast and half board, so ask for the Premium All-Inclusive plan by name or you will arrive on a different arrangement from the one you were picturing. On that plan the main restaurant opens up alongside six a la carte rooms covering Egyptian, Indian, Asian, seafood and barbecue, with daily reservations required by a stated cutoff. A Club room adds lounge access and a private beach area, and the two Royal Suites run to 290 and 380 square metres with pools of their own.
