    Exactly what the name says: a couples-only stretch of Negril's Seven-Mile Beach, with a serious ten-acre sports complex across the road for anyone who can't sit still. There's an organic garden and veggie bar feeding the kitchens too. Laid-back, healthy, romantic Jamaica. Best November through April.

    Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton is one half of a huge shared complex on the coves of Hanover Parish, for families who want many pools, bars and beaches. All of it sits inside one gated estate. It shares its facilities with Grand Palladium Jamaica next door, so the practical footprint is ten restaurants, thirteen bars, five pools, a water park with a lazy river and a string of private coves. Nobody stays on one side of the complex for long, and the coves are for snorkelling rather than long walks.
