Which coast of Mauritius is best for families?

The west, for the driest weather and the calmest, gentlest lagoon, at the cost of a longer transfer from the airport. The east for the best sand and golf, with a breeze that is bracing in winter. The north if you want to leave the resort in the evening, and the south for space.

When is the best time for a family trip to Mauritius?

May to November: cooler, dry and cyclone-free. The cyclone season runs November to April and peaks from January to March. Resorts are well drilled for it, but it is the trade-off for summer warmth.
