Pros: 1) Nice location, huge and taken care of territory. A lot of places for sun bathing. And in general hotel looks nice. 2) Freshly squeezed juices for breakfast. Cons: 1) The room we have been to requires maintenance. During our stay we had experienced water going down from the ceiling at WC. H...
As we were leaving the hotel and waiting outside for our taxi to the airport, a security staff member came to us and told us that reception was asking us to come back inside to pay for breakfast. This was shocking, as we never had breakfast on any of the days during our stay. At reception, Khadija ...
At first glance Beautiful hotel, stunning lobby and lighting at night. Check-in and check-out was smooth and efficient. The room was spacious and clean however a little outdated and worn out. The bathroom had mould around the shower area and the door handle wouldn't close properly. Little things lik...
What a wonderful jewel of a Place. All staff work so hard and are always friendly and keen to make you so welcome and comfortable. From breakfast with an amazing range, the pool staff and wonderful drinks and food being served at the sun loungers. The couples hammam was fun and really invigorating...
We enjoyed a week here in January. Lovely hotel, very well appointed. The buffet and Soul restaurants were excellent. Being able to walk directly onto the sea front was ideal for evening strolls and getting to the marina area. Staff were unfailingly friendly and non-intrusive. Highly recommended.

What it does best
- Beachfront Agadir setting with Moroccan riad-inspired design.
- Good fit for travelers seeking an easier Morocco beach-city base rather than Marrakech intensity.
- Recent reviews mention cleanliness, staff and pleasant stays.
- Free Wi-Fi and business-travel basics are clearly supported by Accor.
Where it costs you
- Opening-phase operations and phased venue openings reduce confidence.
- Independent blog feedback suggests the resort may feel less fully featured than some luxury competitors.
- Beach and pool are the main draw; travelers wanting extensive resort recreation should compare carefully.
What else the research turned up
Things to know before you book
- Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay reopened after extensive renovation, so review patterns include both opening-period comments and older-property expectations.
- The resort is positioned as a beachfront Agadir luxury hotel, but independent commentary is more cautious than the official positioning.
- Some restaurants or nightlife venues may be opening in phases, so guests should confirm availability before booking.
