The hillside layout is central to the experience: great views, but more stairs, slopes and shuttle dependence.
Patong nightlife is accessible, so quiet-seekers should request rooms away from road and entertainment spillover.
Hidden tips
Book a sea-view or villa category if the whole point is the cliffside view.
Use the hotel shuttle to reduce uphill walking inside the resort.
