Los Cabos Airport Transfers: Private Car vs. Shared Shuttle

Before you add a shared airport shuttle to your Cabo vacation, compare the price of a private car for everyone traveling together. A shuttle charged per person can add up, while one private vehicle may cover your whole group and take you straight to the resort. Compare the same passengers, luggage and arrival or round-trip journey, then decide which option works for your trip.

First check your reservation for an included ride, because some resorts offer transportation with qualifying bookings and a hotel-arranged ride can itself be private. Choose your resort above to see its published arrangements alongside an independently booked private car.

Does your booking include a hotel shuttle?

Breathless Cabo San Lucas participates in Hyatt’s current shared-transfer offer for qualifying new direct resort-only bookings of at least four nights. Le Blanc Los Cabos has a separate offer for qualifying new website stays of four nights or more, including eligible hotel + flight bookings. Both have booking dates, travel dates and rate restrictions, so check your resort’s card and make sure the benefit appears on your confirmation.

Grand Velas Boutique arranges round-trip transfers through its concierge and has a qualifying fall offer for 50% off transportation. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and Rosé offer paid shared shuttles and private vehicles; Rosé’s free sister-resort shuttle is a different service. Check your own vacation package before paying for transportation twice.

Compare the total, including the return

Ask whether each fare is per person or per vehicle and whether it includes airport fees, waiting time, luggage and any child seats. A private car can be competitive for a family or group, but the better price depends on the current quotes for your exact route and the vehicle you need.

Return schedules matter as much as arrival prices. Pueblo Bonito’s published form gives a limited daytime return timetable and directs travelers with earlier or later flights to make other arrangements. Confirm the schedule for the service you select before buying a round trip, including whether its limits apply to your chosen private vehicle.

Enter SJD and your exact resort

Use Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) as your pickup, then enter your resort’s full name and address from the booking confirmation. Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and the Tourist Corridor are different drop-offs, and Cabo San Lucas Airport (CSL) is a different airport.

Grand Velas Boutique Hotel and Grand Velas Los Cabos are separate properties, as are Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and Rosé. A quote to a general Cabo destination should not replace the actual resort route; confirm that the provider serves your exact address and has room for everyone and their bags.

Arrange your ride before you fly

Check a current Welcome Pickups quote using SJD, your exact resort, dates and passenger count. The booking site opens separately, where you can confirm route availability, the group total and final terms. Have your flight numbers, luggage and any child-seat requirements ready.

Whether you use the hotel’s transportation or a separate car, keep its confirmation and airport meeting instructions with your flight details. Check waiting and cancellation terms, the procedure for a delayed flight and your return pickup time. An included shuttle still needs to be arranged; Le Blanc’s current offer requires flight details at least 48 hours ahead.
