We stayed at Sensei for 12 days in February as part of our 25th wedding anniversary trip and the experience was exceptional. As others have noted, the property is stunning --- and clearly a passion project for the ownership --- with an attention to detail that is both genuine and effortless. The sta...

Sensei Lanai was pure magic. From the moment we arrived, the Four Seasons team made every detail feel effortless. The staff was beyond attentive, and having the app available to answer questions and coordinate anything we needed made the entire experience seamless. The peaceful morning yoga, stunn...

Absolutely the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at — nestled in a lush, paradise-like garden on the fascinating island of Lanai. The entire property is breathtakingly designed, luxurious yet serene, with an interior style that reflects impeccable taste — elegant, calming, and perfectly in ha...

We got kicked out of the most expensive hotel in Hawaii 😂 Larry Ellison’s Sensei Four Seasons on Lānaʻi is basically a $200M open-air art museum crossed with a meditation retreat — except even quieter, because everyone’s whispering while they wait for their $500 spa treatments. Sienna just needed...

One of the best four seasons I have stayed at. Beautiful room and grounds. Super relaxing and staff was great. We loved the jeep rental and exploring the island. Want to come back and spend an entire week there. Breakfast was also amazing !

What the all-inclusive plan covers at Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort

The line between “all-inclusive” and “all-inclusive except the good stuff” is where trips get expensive. Here's what's genuinely covered, and what still costs extra.

The Daily Reality

Dining & bars

2 restaurantsReservations at some venuesDine-around at sister resorts· Japanese-influenced wellness cuisine · Sensei by Nobu · Garden Bar · In-room dining

Official Sensei FAQ identifies Sensei by Nobu, Koele Garden Bar, poolside dining and in-room dining, plus access to Four Seasons Resort Lanai dining by shuttle.

Pools & waterplay

1 pool

Official Sensei accommodations page references a saltwater pool; the resort is wellness- and spa-led rather than pool-complex-led.

The beach itself

Calm, swimmable waterEntry varies along the shoreSnorkeling from shoreSargassum: rarely an issue

Sensei is inland and not beachfront; beach access is via shuttle to the sister Four Seasons Resort Lanai area, so beach value is off-property.

Venue counts come from the resort's own pages; beach conditions draw on monitoring data and consistent traveler reports. The sea doesn't read press releases, so treat seasonal notes as odds, not promises.
