Dining, pools and the beach
Dining & bars
No reservations, anywhere, ever
Starlite Grille serves breakfast daily and themed dinners. Dockside Restaurant and Big Al's Bar serves poolside lunch and dinner with themed BBQs. East End Pizza is casual open-air. Carina Cafe and Bar inside the casino (21+) serves lunch and dinner.
Pools & waterplay
One beachfront pool and one secluded hillside pool. Two whirlpools on property. Adults-only resort (18+).
The beach itself
1,000-foot stretch of white sand on Grapetree Beach. Protected by a barrier reef. Grassy bottom means fewer reef fish but good chance of sea turtles. East-end location receives more sargassum than sheltered west coast.
- Calm water, swimmable straight off the sand
- Gradual entry, shallow a long way out
- Caveat: Sargassum seaweed lands seasonally, raked daily
Counts come from the resort's own published information; the scores are ours, from the Palmprint file below.

Before you book
Eight things the research turned up about Carina Bay Boutique All-Inclusive Resort & Casino that the brochure does not say.
Carina Bay is best suited to adults who want a quiet, simple all-inclusive base on St. Croix rather than a large luxury resort.
The resort has one of the more unusual combinations in the U.S. Virgin Islands: adults-only, all-inclusive, beachfront, and casino access.
Guest feedback is mixed enough that travelers expecting polished five-star Caribbean service should compare alternatives before booking.
Hidden tips
Consider renting a car if you want to explore restaurants, beaches, and towns around St. Croix.
Pack water shoes because some guest feedback mentions rocky or weedy beach conditions.
Things guests wish they had known
The resort is on the quieter east end of St. Croix, so renting a car or budgeting for taxis is important for exploring beyond the property.
The all-inclusive format is convenient, but guest feedback is mixed on food quality and dining variety.
Beach conditions can vary, and water shoes may be useful.

Reddit discussion is limited but useful as a caution signal: recent St. Croix traveler threads describe mixed-to-negative impressions, especially around food, service consistency, beach quality, and value compared with other St. Croix options.
The rate, and where to check it
Our tracker samples real rates for a two-adult, 7-night stay on a rotating schedule, so the number below is a checked price with a date on it, not a teaser. The channels underneath price the same stay; a few minutes across them is routinely worth a night's rate.
Per-person figures assume two sharing. Taxes and fees vary by channel, so compare the final screen, not the first one.
Where else to look

- Booking.com (opens in a new tab)

Same stay on every channel. Book wherever it comes out cheapest, whether or not we earn on it.
We check this rate on a rotating schedule. Leave an email and we'll flag a real drop, not a countdown timer.
When to go
Temperature barely moves here across the year, and no month takes an unusual share of the rain, so the decision is mostly about price and crowds.
