Does your resort include an airport transfer?

Choose your resort to see the hotel’s transfer options and what to check before booking a ride from Puerto Vallarta Airport. These are published hotel details, not live quotes.

Before you add an airport shuttle to your Puerto Vallarta vacation, check the price of a private car for everyone traveling together. A shuttle charged per person can add up for a family or group, while a private vehicle may cover everyone in one fare and take you directly to your resort. Compare the full journey for your passenger count and luggage, rather than a starting price for one seat.

First check your reservation for an included ride. Some hotels offer transportation only for qualifying direct bookings, and a hotel-arranged ride may itself be private. The two cards above separate the hotel’s published arrangements from a private-car quote you can book independently.

Does your resort already include transportation?

Dreams Vallarta Bay and Secrets Vallarta Bay participate in Hyatt’s current offer for up to two shared round-trip airport transfers with qualifying new direct resort-only bookings. The booking channel, stay length, travel dates and rate restrictions matter, and the transfer must be added to the reservation and appear on its confirmation. Check the exact terms in your resort’s card before relying on that benefit.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta lists round-trip PVR transportation for qualifying direct website reservations of at least four nights per room, excluding hotel + flight bookings. The published flight-information deadline is incomplete, so confirm how far ahead to arrange your ride and whether it is shared or private.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera lists airport transfers arranged through its concierge for an extra fee and asks for flight details at least 48 hours before arrival. For hotels whose current official pages do not establish the transfer terms, we say so: an unpublished policy does not prove there is no shuttle. Check your own package before paying for separate transportation.

Compare the total for your group

Compare the same passenger count, luggage, child seats and arrival or round-trip journey. Ask whether each fare is per person or per vehicle and whether it covers airport fees, waiting time and the vehicle your group actually needs. A private car can be a straightforward choice when everyone fits in one vehicle, but the better price depends on the quotes for your trip.

Check whether the hotel option goes straight to your resort or collects other passengers and makes additional stops. If a ride is already included, weigh the convenience of upgrading against the extra cost rather than buying the same transport twice.

Enter PVR and your exact resort

Use Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), also called Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, as your pickup. Enter your resort’s full name and address as the destination, then check it against your hotel confirmation. The Hotel Zone, Marina Vallarta, Mismaloya and Riviera Nayarit are different drop-offs, even when properties use Puerto Vallarta in their names.

Barceló Puerto Vallarta is in Mismaloya, while Hilton Vallarta Riviera is in the South Hotel Zone. A quote to a general Puerto Vallarta destination should not stand in for either resort’s actual route. Confirm that your chosen provider serves the exact destination and offers enough room for every passenger and bag.

Book your ride before you fly

For a separate private car, check a current Welcome Pickups quote using PVR, your exact resort, dates and passenger count. The booking site opens separately, where you can confirm route availability and the final terms. Have your flight numbers, luggage and any child-seat requirements ready.

Whether you choose the hotel’s transportation or a separate car, keep the transfer confirmation and meeting instructions with your flight details. Check the waiting allowance, cancellation terms and procedure for a delayed flight, and arrange the return pickup for your actual departure. An included transfer still needs to be reserved.

Fair questions

Are airport transfers included at Puerto Vallarta all-inclusive resorts?

It depends on the resort and the reservation. Some qualifying direct bookings include transportation; other packages may add it separately. Check the exact hotel terms and your booking confirmation.

Is a private car cheaper than a shared shuttle from PVR?

It can be for a family or group when the shuttle charges per person, but compare current quotes for the same route, passenger count and journey. Check luggage, child seats and extra fees.

Which airport should I enter for Puerto Vallarta transfers?

Enter Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), also known as Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, and your resort’s exact name and address.
